The HandyTools Percentage Calculator covers the percentage questions people ask most often. Find a percentage of a number (15% of 200 is 30), work out what percent one value is of another, calculate the percentage change between an old and a new value, or find the original value before a percentage change.
Choose the type of calculation, enter the values and read the answer. It is useful for discounts, tax, tips, grades, price changes and reports. All calculations run in your browser.
Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100. For example, 15% of 200 is 200 × 15 ÷ 100 = 30.
Subtract the old value from the new value, divide by the old value, and multiply by 100. A positive result is an increase and a negative result is a decrease.
Divide the first number by the second and multiply by 100.
