ABOUT THIS TOOL

About the Image Resizer

The HandyTools Image Resizer changes the width and height of a picture. Type the dimensions you need or pick a preset such as Instagram square (1080 × 1080), Instagram portrait (1080 × 1350), a link preview (1200 × 630), a YouTube thumbnail (1280 × 720) or Full HD (1920 × 1080).

Keep the aspect ratio option stops the picture from stretching, and an optional sharpen step can help when you shrink a large image. The work is done in your browser and the result downloads as a PNG.

Tips for best results

  • Leave Keep aspect ratio on unless you really want to change the shape of the image.
  • Making an image much larger than the original cannot add detail, so it may look soft.
  • Sizes up to 12,000 pixels on each side are supported.

Frequently asked questions
